Recovery Point Systems Recognized in the ISG Provider Lens™ Mainframes - Services and Solutions 2025 U.S. Public Sector Report

Recovery Point has moved into the Market Challenger quadrant in 2025 for Mainframe as a Service (MFaaS).

Germantown, MD – March 31, 2025 – Recovery Point Systems, a leader in cyber and business resilience services based in Germantown, is pleased to announce its recognition in the Information Services Group (ISG) Provider LensTM Mainframes – Services & Solutions 2025 U.S. Public Sector Report. Recovery Point is recognized in the Mainframe as a Service (MFaaS) quadrant as a Market Challenger and Mainframe Operations quadrant as a Contender.

The study highlights key considerations for Mainframes Services and Solutions in 2025, serving as a guide for government and education organizations evaluating their mainframe strategies and modernization efforts. For the study, ISG evaluated 29 vendors and service providers across four quadrants – Mainframe Optimization Services; Mainframe Application Modernization Services; Mainframe as a Service (MFaaS); and Mainframe Operations. Of the 29 vendors evaluated, 12 qualified for MFaaS and 18 for Mainframe Operations.

The 2025 report moved Recovery Point into the Market Challenger quadrant for MFaaS, which indicates that a company has a strong presence in the market and offers a significant edge over other vendors and providers based on competitive strength.

ISG states in the report, “With significant technical debt in the public sector and mission-critical systems frequently experiencing extended outages, rapid recovery strategies are a top priority for government and education IT leaders. The increasing importance of disaster recovery and cyber resilience enables Recovery Point to engage early in digital transformation initiatives, including mainframe modernization, positioning the company as a strategic partner for guiding and executing public sector IT resilience efforts.”

ISG highlights that Recovery Point is uniquely positioned to address the challenges of SLED organizations — cyber vulnerabilities, the growing trend of hybrid architecture in the mainframe space, the demand for data from AI — providing dedicated, onshore DR and cyber resilience solutions that align with government compliance standards.

“We’re proud to be recognized by ISG for the second consecutive year—and especially honored to advance to the Market Challenger quadrant for Mainframe as a Service,” said Jack Dziak, Chairman and CEO of Recovery Point. “This recognition reflects our continued investment in resilient, compliant infrastructure purpose-built for the public sector. As government and education organizations face increasing cyber threats and modernization pressure, Recovery Point’s position as a “pure play” provider of orchestrated disaster recovery services is recognized by ISG and validates our commitment to delivering secure, specialized disaster recovery solutions that help agencies protect their data, maintain continuity, and meet mission-critical objectives.”

In addition to deep resiliency orchestration expertise in mainframe, power systems and X86-based technologies and tooling, Recovery Point delivers its services through owned Tier III, 2N data centers, with redundant connectivity into all hyper-scaled platforms.  Recovery Point has an extensive network of partnerships with colocation, network and other enabling service providers and OEMs, enabling multi-region backup and recovery, thus enhancing disaster recovery effectiveness.
