DRaaS for x86, powered by Carbonite
Carbonite, Disaster Recovery, DRaaS, x86
Recovery Point’s DRaaS for x86, powered by Carbonite, is a Disaster Recovery as a Service (DRaaS) offering that leverages real-time, continuous replication with historical, image-based snapshots, powered by Carbonite Recovery.
Real-time, byte-level replication minimizes recovery point objectives (RPOs) and accelerates recovery time objectives (RTOs). It is used to meet aggressive RPOs & RTOs by minimizing potential downtime. The replication of image-based snapshots covers the entire OS, including settings, applications, configurations, and executable programs – not just the files. These historical snapshots can be used to recover in place of real-time replication when bad actors have a longer hibernation than the aggressive RPOs of a real-time replication solution. Using both methods gives the best of both worlds.
Adding immutability to these backups through off-site, isolated copies ensures recoverability regardless of the type of disaster.
Recovery Point provides multi-tenant recovery cloud space or dedicated recovery hardware (IaaS), with a range of RPOs and RTOs depending on the client’s requirements. When combined with Recovery Point’s Managed Resiliency service, clients benefit from a fully orchestrated disaster recovery service.
Recovery Point incorporates network connectivity for dedicated circuit-based or IPsec VPN-based designs and for remote testing.
