The client is a US-based health services company, serving customers nationally. The company had no prior vendor for Disaster Recovery as a Service (DRaaS), having always handled their DR internally with Active/Active Configuration.
Challenge
Following a minor event in 2021 that left production systems partially unavailable, the client determined they now needed a formal DR solution in the event of a multiple data center disaster, highlighting the necessity for a tertiary backup site. Recovery Point now supports the client’s complex heterogeneous environment seamlessly, which includes IBM iSeries and Power Systems, AIX, and physical and virtual x86.
Recovery Point also provides the client with cleanroom solutions for secure and isolated data analytics, hot-site equipment to stand up recovery sites quickly, and hosting services. During their time with Recovery Point, the client expanded their hosting footprint and continues to further improve their DR plan and recovery capabilities.

The client now benefits from annual assisted DR testing, ensuring that they are able to fully recover within the established RTOs and RPOs.
